| Andy Hamilton was raised in Marianna, Florida, and graduated with high honors from the Florida State University College of Law in 1987. Andy was a published member of the Law Review and was awarded a Public Service Fellowship.
Andy
Hamilton has practiced law for more than 19 years. He began
his practice working for one of Floridas most prestigious
corporate firms in downtown Tampa. For six years, Andy represented
some of the nations largest insurance companies, self-insured
corporate defendants, auto makers and a major league sports
franchise.
Andy
started his own firm in 1994 for the purpose of representing
plaintiffs in personal injury lawsuits. Andy has successfully
handled claims on behalf of plaintiffs in cases involving
nursing home abuse, automobile accidents, medical malpractice,
products liability, and dangerous premises. He has collected millions of dollars on behalf of people injured by the negligence of others.
Throughout his career, Andy has been committed to improving professionalism in the practice of law. He has served as President, Vice President and Treasurer of the Hernando County Bar Association. He has participated in the Hillsborough County and Citrus-Hernando Inns of Court (where he currently serves as an officer), organizations dedicated to legal professionalism. He served on the Civil Rules of Procedure Committee for the Florida Bar. He has served as Chairman of one of the Florida Bars Grievance Committees, which evaluates complaints of lawyer misconduct.
Andy
is an Eagle Sponsor and member of the Florida Justice Association. He
is also a member of the Trrial Lawyers Section of the Florida
Bar and Hillsborough County Bar Association. Andy has received
Martindale-Hubbells highest rating of AV,
for very high to pre-eminent legal ability and very high
ethical standards.
